Erasmus+ in Loreto Navan
Loreto St Michael’s has been successfully awarded Erasmus+ Accreditation by the European Commission, granting our school guaranteed access to EU funding until the 2026/2027 academic year.
The core objective of our project is to significantly facilitate learning opportunities abroad for pupils and staff, such as short-term mobility projects, as well as enhance foreign language learning and promote international collaboration, institutional development, and the sharing of best practices in areas like inclusion, environmental sustainability, and digital education.
Direct Impact and Benefit:
TY Students
Selected Transition Year (TY) students will participate in fully financed mobilities to other EU countries. This grant covers travel, accommodation, and the educational programme, allowing students to develop new skills, experience different cultures, and build teamwork abilities alongside European peers.
Teaching Staff
The funding provides all staff with access to Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses abroad. Additionally, teachers can engage in job-shadowing at partner schools, directly improving the quality and innovation of language instruction in our school.
The School
Accreditation ensures long-term institutional stability for our internationalisation strategy, enabling us to embed best practices and raise the overall profile of language teaching.
This accreditation is a strategic asset that allows Loreto St Michael’s to provide unique, immersive, and fully supported international learning experiences for our students and staff bringing modern and diverse teaching practices back into the classroom.
